Jean Baillette-Prudhomme Cuvée Heritage Premier Cru
Appearance Golden yellow and vintage ivory - animated by fine bubbles and a regal crown of foam.
Nose It’s musky aromas instantly reveals it’s age. This one spends a year in neutral oak barrels, then was aged another six years in the bottle.
Taste It is balanced on the palate with lots of pear, dried citrus, and hazelnut. Vanilla and a kiss of oak stand by as structure and soft tannins dance about. The finish lingers long on the palate.
Food pairing One of those cuvées that can take you from pre-dinner tipple all the way through dessert. Try it with fish, meats, and a runny cheese course. A blend of the oldest reserve wines in the cellar, this aged beauty pairs perfectly with a nostalgic mood or moments of impromptu reflection.
Story Her peasant years were spent avoiding her evil step sisters. You could often find her in the castle garden, with her wicker basket scooping up bruised apples. One night in particular everything changed, when she was granted everything she wished for. That hold your breathe moment - all eyes on her - she emerged a vision in a gown of gilded golds and creams. This cuvée is nothing short of a Cinderella story.
