Of the many things that make Champagne special, terroir—the climate, terrain and soil—may be one of the most impressive. This diverse region experiences both oceanic and continental climates. The sub-soil here is predominantly limestone and mineral dense—known for good drainage, and the steep terrain welcomes superb sun exposure.
Together, these elements allow for an infinite variety of effects on the grapes that grow here, and of course, in-hand, the Champagne! Our growers understand this and work diligently to honor the lands they tend by creating bubbles that express the unique areas they come from.
