Special Club Millésime 2019 Extra Brut

In accordance with the Club Trésors de Champagne’s demanding specifications, this Special Club cuvée is only made in the most excellent years. A blend of chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meunier from Hervieux-Dumez's Premier Cru vineyards, the cuvée is subject to two blind tastings by a qualified panel of oenologists during the winemaking process: once as vin clair and a second time after it has aged for at least three years in a special bottle. Only the best Champagne will make the cut.

Smell: Toasted almond, apple and pear

Taste: A supple mouthfeel with balanced notes of lemon curd, white peach, vanilla bean and citrus rind. Juicy at first with bright minerality, balanced acidity and a long, clean finish.

Pair: Pour this bottle with shrimp curry and basmati rice or a velvety lentil soup.

Four generations of vignerons have made Champagne at Hervieux-Dumez, a storied house tucked away in the small village of Sacy. At its helm today, Laurent, Clément and Timothée Hervieux encourage biodiversity by keeping bees and letting chickens roam their vineyards to fertilize the land and control weeds. At the same time, the vignerons’ elegant, refined cuvées reflect a passion for the craft and reverence for their family’s traditions.

Select “pick up” during check out, and we’ll safely store your bubbles in our temperature-controlled cave until you can collect them. Once we notify you that your order is ready, pop by at your convenience to pick it up and enjoy a splash. Or, if you prefer, give us a call, and we’ll bring it to you curbside.

Our new compostable, insulated packaging keeps your Champagne safe from breakage and at a constant temperature from our cave to you. Even so, we monitor the weather where you are, and if we feel that extreme heat or cold may affect the quality of your bubbles, we’ll be in touch to offer you options.

  • Do you do tastings?

    Tasting room is open Monday-Thursday 10-6, Friday 10-7, Saturday 11-7, Sunday 11-6

    Tastings are free for members and $50 for non-members. (We’ll waive the fee with the purchase of a bottle.)

    No reservations required but please call ahead if you’re coming with a larger group.

  • Do I have to be a club member to shop bottles?

    No way José. All are welcome to purchase any of our delicious bubbles online or in person at the fatcork cave.

  • What do I do if my Champagne is corked?

    Damp, wet cardboard? That’s not on the tasting note! Cork taint is the worst, but all fatcork Champagnes use natural cork closures, so it does happen on the rare occasion. Please let us know, and will happily replace the bottle. Before you throw it away, snap a photo of the back label and we can refer to the code for reference. Email it to info@fatcork.com along with the order number.

  • Can I return or exchange my bottles?

    We aim to please. Call or email us, so we can talk about what happened and how we can make things right.
