Mixolydien No. 99 Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Brut Nature

Stéphane Regnault

$138

This cuvée highlights grapes from the Le Moulin lieu-dit, a plot known for its structured topsoil with well-saturated grass cover, and deep, silky chalk. Like each of his single-vineyard, single-varietal cuvées, Mixolydien is a blend of the latest vintage and wine from a perpetual reserve. Stéphane's naming system reflects his affinity for numbers and analytics — No. 99 is the 2019 vintage blended with the plot’s perpetual reserve containing wine from 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.

* There is a purchase limit of 2 bottles per customer. This cuvée is special, rare, and in limited supply.

Renaissance man Stéphane Regnault enjoyed careers as both an aerospace engineer and a sommelier before taking over the family land in 2007. He is the first in his family to make Champagne from the grapes grown on their 4 hectares of certified organic and biodynamic vineyards in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger on the Côtes des Blancs. A jazz musician at heart, Stéphane applies a kind of polyrhythmic method to his craft by creating his trio of plot-specific cuvées with a perpetual réserve from the previous vintage, beginning with his first in 2014.
