Why we don't do Dry January
Who was it that said, “Everything in moderation, including moderation”? The source is difficult to trace, but whoever it was had it right. We’re all adults here. We do our best to be healthy, eating a balanced diet, getting regular exercise and continuing to rid our lives of toxic relationships and undue stress. Sure we probably overdid it during the December holidays, but do we now need an entire month of abstinence to justify a few weeks of excess. Not us. Instead, we’re diving into the new year by just getting back to normal.

At fatcork, we’ve never been about unbounded consumption. We’re here to sip and savor, to bring people together and to celebrate everyday moments with the best Champagne in the world. And, we’ll continue to do that this month, and all the months to come.
We recognize that what’s right for us isn’t necessarily what’s right for everyone. But if you’re reading this, our hunch is that your reasons for being here are a lot like those we've mentioned above. And this is just a reminder that you don’t have to do Dry January just because it’s trending on social media. Sharing a bottle of organic, low-alcohol, low-sugar grower Champagne with good company over a good meal is a beautiful and meaningful way to get back to moderation and business as usual.
Cheers!

Pro tip: Keep a bottle in your fridge, and instead of waiting around for a special occasion to come around, pop that bottle on a Thursday or Friday night, and make one!

"Before Abby and I had a dedicated wine fridge and a fatcork warehouse full of the world’s best bubbles, we kept a bottle of great Champagne in the refrigerator. I loved opening the fridge and thinking about the upcoming weekend when we planned to open it. Actually, I still do! Right now, there’s a bottle at my house, sitting right next to the milk carton." — Bryan Maletis, founder of fatcork
