Grongnet Cuvée Carpe Diem Brut Magnum
Aged in old Burgundy barrels, this Champagne is pale gold in color. Aromatic, mature and complex with notes of raspberry jam, dried flowers, fresh baguette, cherry, and black pepper. Great structure- very firm and straight with well balanced acidity. The finish is long and lingers with acidity, minerality, and slight smoky notes. Pair with poultry or pork done in a creamy mushroom sauce. There is a lot of wonderful aged components in this Champagne as 80% of the cuvée is from the 2004 vintage, and the remainder from 2002. Traditionalists and enthusiasts will love this Champagne!
