"Le Clos de Poilloux"is a special plot of land and the largest of the family-owned vineyards. It is a historical vineyard, not far from the old Cistercian Abbey of Troissy, dating from the XII-XIII century. The base wine is vinified in neutral oak barrels and reveals the unique expression of both vineyard and grape variety. The palate is vibrant, powerful and enlivened with minerality.
Xavier LeconteLa Croisette 2007 Extra Brut
"La Croisette" is a special vineyard dedicated to old vine Pinot Meunier. It was the favorite site of Chantal, the grandmother of Alexis, and enjoys an ideal exposure. Produced solely from the 2007 vintage, this 100% Pinot Meunier is vinified in oak barrels and then aged seven years prior to release. Rich and aromatic on the nose with notes of toast, candied pear, quince paste, nutmeg and subtle honey.

This saignée rosé is the product of rigorous selection from two parcels of Pinot Meunier from the family vineyards. The rich and vinous nature of the wine, first noted on the attack, remains on the palate throughout the long, powerful and aromatic finish.
